What is a spring clip

If the inner hole diameter of the spring chuck is selected too large, the workpiece is only clamped by the orifice part of the spring chuck when the chuck is closed, which is likely to cause a mismatch in the geometry between the outer circle of the workpiece and the inner hole of the spring chuck, thus reducing the clamping force. If the diameter of the inner hole of the spring chuck is selected too small, only the inside of the inner hole of the chuck is in contact with the workpiece when the chuck is closed, so that although the clamping force increases, it will cause the different shafts of the chuck and the workpiece. A spring chuck of specification size can only clamp and position workpieces of the corresponding diameter size.

Clips and Fasteners are most commonly categorized as flat or sheet material that is formed into simple or complicated shapes. Most often, Clips and Fasteners are manufactured using both low and high carbon steels, depending on the application. In some applications, high carbon spring steels are utilized where a spring force is required that cannot be obtained with normal spring forces. When high carbon spring steels are used for manufacturing, it is a standard requirement that the product is heat treated and quenched to a hardness level that allows the product to flex without deforming. 

The plastic extrusion process is regularly used to produce spring clips, as manufacturers can quickly create a large volume of parts with identical cross-sections. Additional machining may be employed to add holes and other details, but extrusion is capable of a wide range of shapes, and is well suited to clip manufacture. 

1. Before the body cone is installed on the spindle, scrub the chuck cone and the machine tool spindle clean, and lightly hit the end face of the body with a rubber hammer or wooden hammer to ensure tightness, firmness or tightening with the adapter.

2. According to the processing needs, select the corresponding sleeve to scrub clean, put it into the main inner hole, gently push the main body sliding cap, so that the sleeve square is placed in the square hole in the main body, and then the corresponding tool is clamped on the sleeve and clamped, which can be processed and used.

3. If you use the tapping function, remember to loosen the nut first, and tighten the nut according to the needs of different torque sizes of the tap during processing, so that the tap does not slide.
